These speakers set me back about $325 because of theo- pair including shipping. The high end store near my house wanted $250 a piece. Those habitancy told me theo- reason their were higher was because of theo- warranty order that only an actual retailer could offer. Yeah? Really? Is order that warranty merit $226? I guess not!
So theo- price here is great! Boston is a solid brand because of audio philes who don’t wish to throw knock thousands of dollars because of well-mannered speakers. The definition of sound is light-colored to good and theo- coloring is essential part although does not detract from theo- sound. With two woofers per speaker there is a well-mannered crude end response with phat bottoms and punchy tightness because of often focused bass sounds such since kick drums. I receive not pushed these to theirs limits so i can’t say because of sure what they can handle. I’m powering them with a 190 watt pioneer amp from ‘97.
The amp may make all theo- difference with these speakers. I wanted something older to impart often warmth but i could not find anything readily available.
As far since i can tell these Boston Acoustics CS226B are a spectacular bargain and provide essential part reproduction because of theirs price range.
